Process Engineering

FDB&A offer professional Process Engineering services; which encompasses the design, operation and control of chemical, biological and physical processes.
Process Engineering is incorporated within a variety of industries, including: food, pharmaceutical, agriculture, chemical, petrochemical, biotechnological, mineral and advanced material industries.
  

Process Design: we can assist with the expansion or modification of existing facilities or the designing of new facilities. The design initiates at conceptual level and is finalised by fabrication and construction plans.
Process Layouts: we can assist with the design of a plant floor plan, with the aim of improving efficiency by way of arraning equipment according to their operations. Production lines are designed to reduce waste in material flow and inventory handling.
 

Process Engineering mainly makes use of three types of diagrams to design processes:

• -BFD (Block Flow Diagram)
• -PFD (Process Flow Diagram)
• -P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram)
